Signage projects
At TracksAndPedals, as IMBA-certified technicians, we specialise in marking and adapting MTB and hiking trails to ensure safe, accessible and properly signposted routes for users. We carry out these services through three main phases.
DESIGN
- Route Planning and Feasibility: We study and evaluate potential trails, taking into account technical, environmental, and safety aspects to determine the optimal route.
- Signage Formats: We select the most appropriate types of signage (marker posts, information boards, directional signs, etc.) in compliance with current regulations.
- Maps, Tracks and GPS Waypoints: We produce detailed maps along with tracks and reference points (waypoints) to facilitate navigation using GPS devices.
Trail Maintenance Services
To ensure hiking routes remain passable and in perfect condition, we carry out adaptation works that guarantee trail safety and accessibility.
- Path Clearing: We prepare the terrain to ensure safe passage for hikers.
- Adaptation for Signal Placement: We carry out specific tasks to ensure the proper installation of signals, such as ground leveling or the creation of stable supports.
Implementation of Planning
In this phase, we carry out the implementation of everything previously planned and prepared, ensuring that every detail is correctly executed to provide safe and well-marked hiking trails.
- Sign Installation: Placement of the planned signage, ensuring its visibility and durability.
- Certification: Verification that the signage meets the applicable quality standards and regulations.
- Trail Maintenance: Periodic review and conservation of the trails, including the repair or replacement of damaged signs.
